Software Engineer Leader

Assignment: Senior Software Engineering Lead – Digital Retail Experience

Start Date: June 1, 2025

End Date: August 30, 2025 (extension possible)

Location: Malmö, Sweden (on-site presence required 3 days per week)

Workload: Full-time (100%)

Assignment Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineering Lead to join a team focused on developing and evolving digital tools and platforms that support modern retail experiences. The role is part of an initiative aimed at strengthening and streamlining operations related to retail concept leadership.

The assignment centers around a new potential digital product area: a concept description review tool. You will be expected to analyze the current technical environment, evaluate existing solutions, and define a forward-looking roadmap for development and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the current solution landscape and identify areas for improvement
• Propose and drive a mid- to long-term development strategy
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation
• Own and evolve the technical architecture in line with business needs
• Ensure high standards in code quality, scalability, and performance
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical direction with product goals

Technical Skills & Tools:

• Frontend frameworks: React, Svelte
• Backend development with Node.js and backend-for-frontend patterns
• Experience with headless CMS platforms such as Contentful and Strapi
• CDN management with Cloudflare
• Familiarity with web analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI
• Solid understanding of accessibility best practices
• Strong background in web security and privacy-compliant development
• Experience in API design and content delivery for decoupled web architectures
