VP, Special Projects, Treasury and Trading Sweden

The VP of Special Projects, Treasury and Trading – Sweden will provide executive leadership for cross-functional projects, drive technology integration to enhance performance, and support the Board of Directors in treasury management by overseeing cash flow, liquidity, and capital structure to ensure financial strength and operational alignment with company growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and develop market indicators to support sales and trading decisions.
• Provide precise, accurate, and timely information for budget follow-up, forecasting, and final metals availability to support both sales and trading activities.
• Arrange and oversee all shipping procedures related to the arrival, supervision, and treatment of shipments at the refinery.
• Manage inventory of shipments at the refinery for proper lot allocation of credited and sold Ag & Au ounces.
• Prepare and maintain historical reports (including prices, assay exchanges, Ag & Au contents, penalties, trading positions, and contract performance).
• Ensure and monitor the assay exchange process for the correct crediting of Ag & Au ounces, including oversight of any umpire processes.
• Lead treasury management activities, including oversight of cash flow, liquidity planning, and sales payment flows for spot, forward, and derivative trading transactions, ensuring timely cash application and accurate reconciliation.
• Lead trading operations, including contract execution, position monitoring, risk management, and settlement of spot, forward, and derivative transactions.
• Provide leadership in the design and implementation of technology solutions to enhance process monitoring, trading analytics, and operational efficiency.
• Lead strategic planning initiatives by overseeing the design and implementation of Oracle-EPM technology, ensuring robust tools are in place to support financial reporting, trading performance analysis, and treasury process management.

Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in the mining industry, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
• Proven track record of managing mining financial operations and achieving business objectives.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy when dealing with stakeholders.
• Strong MS office skills and financial systems applications.
• Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
• Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects
• Spanish speaker is a plus.
