Procurement Consultant – Engineering Services

ValueOne is looking for a Procurement Consultant of Engineering Services for an exciting and challenging assignment at a leading industrial company in northern Sweden. The assignment is on-site in Stockholm with occasional travels to the north and is expected to last for about six months, starting in May, with possibilities for extension.

As a Procurement Consultant of Engineering Services, you will play a key role in supporting complex and large-scale industrial projects. You will drive procurement strategy and execution, lead negotiations, and manage supplier interactions throughout the project lifecycle. Your role involves close collaboration with project managers, legal and financial stakeholders, and technical teams.

Main tasks:

• Leading procurement strategy development, including market and supply chain analysis, risk assessments, contract model selection, and cost optimization.
• Managing supplier pre-qualification, RFx procedures, proposal evaluations, and maintaining long-term supplier relationships.
• Leading contract negotiations and securing commercial agreements aligned with project goals and compliance requirements.
• Collaborating with project managers and project buyers to meet critical timelines and ensure procurement milestones align with the overall project schedule.
• Ensuring all contracting activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, internal policies, and industry best practices.
• Acting as a key liaison to internal and external stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making and fostering effective partnerships.

We believe the right candidate holds a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction, or Supply Chain Management and brings at least five years of experience in project procurement, ideally within large-scale, multi-year investment projects. You have previously worked with Indirect Materials & Services (IM&S), especially within categories such as engineering consultants and contingency workforce. You are familiar with EPC/M contract types and possess strong skills in negotiations, supplier relationship management, and working closely with cross-functional project teams.

You are highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and have a proactive, structured, and solution-oriented approach. Excellent communication and organizational abilities are key to success in this role. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required, while knowledge of Swedish is considered a valuable asset.
