Hydrogen Process Lead
The Hydrogen Process Lead is responsible for the design, coordination, and
continuous development of hydrogen-related process engineering. This role
ensures efficient and integrated process design across internal and external
stakeholders, including electrolyzer suppliers and engineering firms, to meet
the technical and safety standards required in the steel industry.
- Design and optimize safe, sustainable, and cost-effective hydrogen processes, and coordinate technical work with electrolyzer suppliers and engineering firms.
- Review and validate vendor and engineering documents, including drawings, datasheets, specifications, and calculations.
- Act as the main point of contact for cross-process interfaces, such as air separation units (ASU) and water treatment facilities.
- Execute detailed process engineering, including calculations, equipment sizing, optimization, and preparation of key engineering documents (PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, HAZOP documentation, etc.).
- Ensure process engineering activities progress on time and align with overall project plans.
Qualifications:
- Academic degree in Chemical, Process Engineering, or a related field, with strong process engineering experience (preferably in hydrogen production or oil & gas).
- Proven background in projects, startups, commissioning, and technical coordination across teams.
- Deep knowledge of process design, industrial gas systems, safety standards, and risk analysis methods like HAZOP.
- Skilled in engineering software, technical documentation, and fluent in English (basic Swedish is a plus).
- Analytical, hands-on, safety-driven, and adaptable with a strong focus on project management and continuous improvement.
