English Teacher for MYP at Bilingual School in Stockholm

We are an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, which opens doors for your future international teaching adventures.

We are currently looking for a full time (100%) English teacher for our PYP6 class (åk 5) and for our MYP1-4 classes (åk 7-9). The position will start from August 2025.

We will prioritize candidates with IB experience.

Vasa International School of Stockholm is an independent primary and middle school with Swedish and International classes. The school belongs to AB Parts & Paomees, which also owns Europaskolan Södermalm and International School of Kungsholmen.

The school was founded in 1998 and has for several years been authorized by the International Baccalaureate® (IB) to conduct teaching according to the Primary Years Program (PYP) and the Middle Years Program (MYP).

Your duties will be as follows:

• As an English teacher, you are expected to teach students in our Bilingual IB Programme combining the IB framework with the Swedish national curriculum, LGR22.
• As an English teacher, you are expected to work with the Middle Year Programme, MYP1-4 (årskurs 7-9) and the Primary Year Program, PYP 6 (årskurs 5).
• You are expected to teach a small group of students once a week of English mother tongue students
• You are expected to mentor a Middle Year Programme class with 24 studens.
• You are expected to support our students building positive relationships and to develop a positive class climate.
• You are expected to work with the International Baccalaureate MYP curriculum by planning and implementing Units of Inquiry that are relevant and motivating for our students.
• You are expected to use English as the language of instruction.
• You are expected to collaborate daily with the other English teachers within the organization.
• You are expected to collaborate and plan with a teaching team at least once a week. The meetings are structured on a weekly basis. Planning and meetings are held in English.
• As a teacher at Vasa International, you are expected to be open to new pedagogical ideas and willing to participate in collegial learning.
